How StrongStarter Spring Starters Work
StrongStarter Spring Starters are perfect for replacing electric, air or hydraulic starters for
diesel engines upto 14L in capacity. In fact, some tests have indicated these starters to be
capable of starting large diesel engines up to 18L in capacity.
StrongStarter spring starters are a direct bolt-on replacement for electric starters and can
be fitted in less than an hour. These starters use a powerful spring to store energy, and
rely on manual hand-winding through a winding handle. The starters have to be wound 8-
14 times based on the size of the starter, and provide a visual indication when the spring
has enough energy to start the engine. The starter is equipped with a tripping handle that
can be tripped to release the spring energy and start the engine. The starting mechanism
is extremely simple and reliable, and can be repeated any number of times.
StrongStarter spring starters are resistant to moisture and temperature extremes. Because
they create a high torque, they are very suitable for starting in cold weather. These
starters require no batteries, air pressure or hydraulic pressure and their mechanical
